PasteClean is built with privacy as a fundamental design principle. We believe that your content belongs to you and you alone. Unlike many online tools, PasteClean processes all text entirely within your web browser. Your content never leaves your device, is never transmitted to our servers, and is never stored anywhere outside of your own computer.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be crystal clear about what we do not collect:

  • Your Content: We do not collect, store, transmit, or have any access to the text you paste into PasteClean
  • Personal Information: We do not require registration, login, or any personal details to use PasteClean
  • Tracking Cookies: We do not use cookies to track your personal information or browsing behavior
  • Email Addresses: We do not collect email addresses unless you voluntarily contact us
  • Payment Information: PasteClean is free to use and we do not collect any payment or financial data

How PasteClean Works

When you use PasteClean, here's exactly what happens:

  1. You paste or type content into the editor on our webpage
  2. All text processing is performed locally in your browser using JavaScript
  3. The cleaned text is displayed in your browser, still on your device
  4. When you copy the result, it goes to your device's clipboard
  5. When you close or refresh the page, all content is permanently gone from PasteClean

At no point in this process does your content leave your device or get transmitted over the internet to any server.

Local Storage

PasteClean uses your browser's local storage to remember your cleaning preferences (such as which options you have enabled). This data:

  • Is stored only on your device
  • Is never transmitted to our servers
  • Contains only your settings preferences, never your content
  • Can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser data

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics services to understand basic usage patterns. If implemented, these analytics:

  • Do not track individual users across websites
  • Do not use persistent identifiers or cookies for tracking
  • Only collect aggregate, anonymized data such as page views and general usage statistics
  • Never have access to any content you paste into PasteClean

  • These third parties do not have access to the content you paste into PasteClean
