Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PasteClean ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PasteClean.

2. Description of Service

PasteClean is a free online tool designed to help users clean and format text for better compatibility with email clients such as Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, and others. The Service removes unwanted formatting, fixes spacing issues, and optimizes text from AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and similar services.

Key features of the Service include:

  • Client-side text processing (all operations occur in your browser)
  • Removal of excessive spacing and formatting
  • Cleaning of list formatting for email compatibility
  • Removal of separator lines and unwanted elements
  • Copy functionality for both rich text and plain text output

3. Use of Service

You agree to use PasteClean only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, you agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service to process, distribute, or share any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
  • Use the Service to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service
  • Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to access the Service in a manner that could impair its performance or availability for other users
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its servers, or any related systems
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with PasteClean or claim to act on our behalf
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code through the Service

4. Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to any content you paste into PasteClean. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your content. Since all processing occurs in your browser and we never receive your content, we have no access to or control over it.

Our Property: The PasteClean name, logo, website design, user interface, underlying code, and all related intellectual property are owned by PasteClean and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our intellectual property without explicit written permission.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PASTECLEAN DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE
  • WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR QUALITY OF ANY OUTPUT

You acknowledge that the processed output may not be suitable for all use cases, and you are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying the output before use. Different email clients may render content differently, and results may vary.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PASTECLEAN AND ITS OPERATORS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses
  • Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service
  • Damages resulting from any content processed through the Service
  • Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
  • Any other damages arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed $100 USD or the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PasteClean and its operators, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Any content you process through the Service

8. Service Availability and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

We may also update or modify the features and functionality of the Service from time to time to improve user experience, fix bugs, or add new capabilities.

9. Third-Party Services and Advertising

The Service may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks. We are not responsible for the content of any third-party advertisements or any products or services offered therein. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which PasteClean operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the original intent.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PasteClean regarding the use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
